Bradenton Riverwalk
The Bradenton Riverwalk is a short 1.5 mile walk along the Manatee River. It was built in 2012 and is one of the most enjoyable family-friendly spots of Downtown Bradenton. Along the riverwalk’s path, you’ll find a beach volleyball area, outdoor workout equipment, skate park, family splash pad, amphitheater, playground, and lots of shaded seating areas.
Located near the playground is a fishing pier that’s often used by local fisherman or those just visiting to get a breath of fresh air. On some days, dolphins have been seen brimming the surface near the pier and the riverwalk’s path.
At the 400 seat Mosaic Amphitheater, live entertainment is given a beautiful backdrop of the Manatee River and the bridges that reach across. Concerts, plays, and school productions are often held here. Music in the Park is also a series the community puts together every spring.
In addition to all of the activities built into the areas surrounding the Bradenton Riverwalk, there’s also plenty of open space. These spaces are often used for art shows, festivals, community events, classes, drum circles and more. The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, the Manatee Performing Arts Center, and plenty of restaurants and other things are nearby as well. Don’t miss out on seeing the interesting things going on at the riverwalk!
